TAP FAQ

Understand the Card, the business tools and the next step. Availability depends on your approved plan, setup, role and resource permissions.

What is TAP?

TAP connects a live contact Card with enabled tools for customer inquiries, Leads, Forms, Quotes, appointment requests and follow-up. Start with the tools included in your plan and permitted for your role.

Is TAP only a digital business Card?

No. The Card is a sharing and entry point. Business tools can connect an inquiry to a Contact, optional Lead or Request, optional Quote, appointment and follow-up. You do not have to use every object for every relationship.

Does the person receiving my Card need an app?

A recipient can open the public Card in a compatible web browser without installing a mandatory TAP app. Device and browser support still apply.

How are a Card, NFC item and QR Code different?

The TAP Card is the live contact/profile page. A physical TAP/NFC item opens a linked destination on a compatible device. A QR Code is a scannable entry method; QR records are not physical NFC items.

Read physical-item and compatibility guidance

Can I update details without reprogramming my item?

Updating the linked live Card keeps its existing public URL. An item or QR that points to that stable URL can open the updated Card. This does not silently update a contact already saved on someone’s device.

What is TAP Sync?

TAP Sync lets a visitor save a live contact and choose which supported contact changes they want to hear about. It does not silently overwrite the contact on their device or create marketing consent.

How is Save once different from TAP Sync?

Save once downloads the current contact details. TAP Sync is a separate connection/update-choice flow on a real active Card. Neither action guarantees automatic device-contact replacement.

What happens when someone requests an appointment?

An Appointment Request asks the business to review a proposed time. A request or receipt is not a confirmed schedule. Availability, enabled tools and business review still apply.

When is an appointment actually confirmed?

An accepted appointment uses TAP’s Google-backed scheduling authority. Do not treat a pending request, proposed alternate time or failed provider operation as a confirmed appointment.

What are TAP More and Forms?

TAP More is the deeper Card experience. Enabled Forms collect structured intake and retain exact submissions. Intake can support a shared Request, an optional Quote or other permitted follow-up; submitting a Form does not itself issue an official Quote.

Which plans include Forms?

Free does not include current TAP More / Forms use. Pro includes Basic Forms with up to 3 active Forms. Business and Business Unlimited include Full Forms with no normal commercial active-Form count cap.

What happens at Pro’s 3-active-Form limit?

New Form creation is denied while current active capacity is at the allowance. Manage and archive an eligible active Form through the existing workflow to free capacity, or request a plan change. Historical Forms and completed submissions are not deleted to make room.

Are Business and Business Unlimited Forms unlimited?

They have unlimited active Forms for normal commercial launch use. Security, tenant authorization, abuse controls, storage and technical/platform constraints still apply.

Do QR Codes use my physical-item allowance?

No. QR records are not counted as physical TAP/NFC items. Direct QR remains a separate entitlement; it is not automatically bundled with a base plan or Connected Sites.

Are administrator allowances employee limits?

No. Pro’s 1 administrator and the Business plans’ 5 administrators are administrator allowances, not total employee or team-member limits. There is no general commercial team-member seat cap at launch. Existing membership and role rules still control access.

How do I change plans?

Create an account or sign in, then submit a plan-change request. TAP reviews it. Approval alone is not fulfillment: an operator must explicitly Apply Plan Change before the canonical plan changes. The request itself does not charge you or activate a paid plan.

Read commercial terms

What happens if I downgrade or cancel?

New excluded or over-limit operations may be restricted. Existing legitimate Cards, Forms/submissions, Quotes, appointments and business history are not arbitrarily deleted or reassigned. Cancellation is distinct from account deletion; separate data requests are reviewed under Privacy and applicable record needs.

Read downgrade, cancellation and history rules

Can any customer connect an external website?

No. Connected Sites is TAP/OWNER MANAGED — NOT GENERALLY OFFERED TO CUSTOMERS at launch. TAP explicitly provisions or approves integrations for properties it owns, builds, operates or approves. There is no public add-on price, self-service purchase or automatic base-plan inclusion, and arbitrary third-party compatibility is not certified.

What if a physical item has a defect or production error?

Contact TAP support with the order information and a description of the issue. TAP reviews confirmed defects or TAP production errors before deciding on a correction, replacement or other remedy. Custom/engraved/programmed/activated items are not returnable for preference changes.

Will NFC work on every phone?

No. NFC behavior depends on the phone, operating system, case, settings and reader location. Use the QR fallback where appropriate. A browser preview does not certify physical NFC or native contact import.

Read compatibility guidance

How do I contact TAP?

Use TAP support for account, plan-request and physical-item questions. Include useful context, but do not email passwords, verification codes or secret credentials.

How do I request access, correction or deletion of my data?

Follow the Privacy Policy or contact support. A data/deletion request is separate from cancelling a plan. Some operational, business, transaction, security or legal records may need to remain; no universal erasure deadline is promised here.
